How to link Aadhar Number with your SBI Account

Most of the banks make mandatory to link Aadhar number with your bank account and they had given 31 December 2017 is the dead line for this.After they extended the date in to 31 March 2018, Because of many peoples still not have Aadhar card.It is mandatory to link Aadhar number with your bank account to open new bank accounts and to make transactions above to Rs.50000

If you are a SBI customer you need to link your Aadhar number with your bank account.I think you already got message from bank to link Aadhar number with your bank account.Customers can use different methods to link their Aadhar card number with bank account.Customers can link Aadhar number through following ways

1 . By using internet banking facility
2 . By using ATM
3 . Through SMS
4 . By visiting your SBI Brach

 

1. Link Aadhar number through Internet banking

SBI giving facility to link Aadhar number through SBI internet banking online portal.Go forward with following steps to link Aadhar through internet banking.

Step - 1

Go to www.onlinesbi.com login your account, Go to "link your Aadhar number" in "My accounts" section on left panel of window

step - 2

Enter your account number, Aadhar number and click on submit link. It will lead to another window
step - 3

It will show your last two digit of mobile number
step - 4

It will show mapping status in to customers registered mobile number

2 . Link Aadhar through SMS

If you don't have internet banking facility you can link your Aadhar number through SMS if you registered your number with your bank account.Just go through following steps

Step - 1

If you have registered your mobile number with your bank just send SMS in following format UID(Space)Aadhar number(Space)Account number send in to 567676

Step - 2

You will get a confirmation SMS in to your registered mobile number
Step - 3

If some think went wrong you will get a message to contact your SBI branch

 

3 . Link Aadhar by using ATM channel

If you have ATM card for your SBI bank account you can link your Aadhar number by using this ATM card.Go through following steps

Step - 1

Go to nearest SBI ATM service

Step - 2 

Insert ATM card in to machine and entering your PIN.

Step - 3

In this menu Select "Service-registration" Menu and select Aadhar number registration

Step - 4

You can now select the Account type (Savings/Checking) after that you will be asked to enter your Aadhar number. You will be prompted to re-enter the same.

4 . Link aadhar through any of SBI brach

Customer can link aadhar number in any of SBI brach
Customer can visits any SBI branch with a copy of his Aadhar card or e-Aadhar
At the branch, a Letter of Request will be obtained from customer along with the Xerox copy of Aadhaar letter.
After necessary verification, the linking will be done by the branch. An SMS will be sent to customer's registered mobile number regarding the status of registration
