MAKE PASSWORD PROTECTED FOLDER WITHOUT SOFTWARE

Here I will show you how to make a password protected folder in Windows XP, Vista without using any software. Follow these steps to make password protected folder

1: Create a new folder and give it any name you want.place your important files, documents in this folder
2: Now Right-click on this folder and select the option Send To -> Compressed (zipped) Folder
3: Now a new compressed zipped folder  created with the same name
4: open this compressed zipped folder and you should see your original folder there.
5: Now go to the File menu and select the option Add a password. ( File -> Add a password)

You will get window here. You can set your desired password. Once the password is set, yes you have now created the password protected folder.

 You can make invisible this folder

follow these steps to invisible the folder:

1: Go to properties of  password protected folder

2: At the bottom select the option Hidden and press OK. Now your folder gets invisible.

3: In order to unhide this folder go to

My Computer – >Tools -> Folder options. Switch to View tab, scroll down
you can see an option "don't show hidden files, folder, or drives"
